BenchMark
04–27–24 Benchmark NSW is an experimental, temporary outdoor seating initiative designed to understand how women, girls, and gender diverse people use public spaces. Conducted as a collaboration between the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Transport for NSW (TfNSW), the project introduced modular, movable seating with integrated motion-activated LED lighting. The seating was monitored using AI-driven vision recognition software developed by MIT to collect data on how people interact with their urban environment.

04–27–24Designed and developed the official project website. As part of a collaborative effort led by MIT’s Norman B. Leventhal Center for Advanced Urbanism and MITdesignX, the website highlights the initiative’s work on sustainable energy transition through civic innovation and urban research. Translated complex project goals into a clear, engaging digital interface that documents key events such as the Ideathon—where over 200 participants generated 1,500 clean energy ideas—and showcases research efforts, team members, and ongoing updates. The site serves as both a public-facing platform and a knowledge hub for cross-institutional collaboration.

It explores how factors such as climate zones, building types, and internal attributes (appliances, lighting, windows, etc.) influence energy use. The goal is to provide actionable insights for homeowners, developers, architects, and policymakers to make sustainable, energy-efficient decisions.

Tang2Pic: Interpreting Poems from Tang Dynasty04–27–24
Tang2Pic is an interactive web app that reimagines the experience of classical Chinese poetry through the lens of generative art. Rooted in the rich literary heritage of Tang Poetry—often regarded as the golden age of Chinese verse—the platform allows users to explore curated poems as visual experiences.

Users can read iconic poems as interactive cards, convert verses into AI-generated paintings using DALL·E, and even draw their own interpretations with custom ink-style tools. By blending traditional literature with modern technologies like generative AI and browser-based sketching, Tang2Pic offers a poetic, visual, and participatory journey—bridging cultural history and creative expression in the digital age.

Visualizing Dogs in New York04–27–24
This project explores how dogs reflect the social and spatial fabric of New York City. Using dog registration data alongside neighborhood-level socio-economic indicators—such as property value, access to parks, and walkability—we analyzed patterns to reveal how urban environments influence canine life.

Motivated by the visible clustering of specific breeds in different neighborhoods, we investigated the correlation between dog ownership and variables like income, work-life balance, and housing types. Due to ethical and data limitations, our analysis was conducted at the zip code level, using a mix of exploratory data analysis, regression modeling, and machine learning techniques such as lasso, decision trees, and gradient boosting.

Collective Music Creation:
Exploring the Potential of Sketch to Music Translation04–27–24
 "Collective Music Creation" is a web-based experimental music platform that enables users of all musical backgrounds to create sound through intuitive visual input. Inspired by my own challenge navigating traditional music software, I developed a tool that translates sketches into sound—allowing anyone to "draw" music without needing to understand pitch or notation.

2024 GraphHop is a version control tool tailored for Grasshopper, designed to streamline design iteration management and enhance collaborative workflows. By integrating version tracking directly into Grasshopper, GraphHop enables users to efficiently save, review, and revert to previous versions of their visual scripts, ensuring better organization and minimizing the risk of losing valuable work.
