Cities initiatives: Mexico City2024Designed and developed the official project website. As part of a collaborative effort led by MIT’s Norman B. Leventhal Center for Advanced Urbanism and MITdesignX, the website highlights the initiative’s work on sustainable energy transition through civic innovation and urban research. Translated complex project goals into a clear, engaging digital interface that documents key events such as the Ideathon—where over 200 participants generated 1,500 clean energy ideas—and showcases research efforts, team members, and ongoing updates. The site serves as both a public-facing platform and a knowledge hub for cross-institutional collaboration.

SYNC QUEUE-

When multiple team members collaborate on a shared Revit model, synchronization can become a bottleneck. Currently, notifying the next user after a sync completion relies on manual communication, leading to delays, inefficiencies, and potential misalignment in workflows.

Sync Queue eliminates these issues by automating notifications and tracking synchronization events, ensuring that team members are instantly informed when it’s their turn to sync and proceed with the
project.

-Background
A new collaboration led by MIT Norman B. Leventhal Center for Advanced Urbanism and MIT DesignX supported by Mota Engil Mexico’s Laboratorio para Mejorar Nuestras Ciudades is tackling the energy transition in Mexico through research, innovation, and civic debate. In May, a team of MIT faculty and researchers joined Mexico City’s Secretaria de Educación, Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación (SECTI) at CDIT Vallejo-i, Mexico City to host an Ideathon–the first in a series of events to foster innovation and public engagement.
